Knox Private Hospital, one of Melbourne's leading healthcare facilities, recently upgraded its outdoor entrance and communal areas to enhance accessibility and durability for high pedestrian traffic. This transformation was designed with both functionality and aesthetics in mind, ensuring that the area serves the needs of patients, visitors, and hospital staff while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. The project utilised Buzon Adjustable Pedestals to create a raised, even, and accessible paving system ideal for a healthcare setting.

Challenge
With a high volume of pedestrian traffic each day, the entrance and communal spaces at Knox Private Hospital needed a flooring system that was both stable and secure. Accessibility was a key priority, as patients in wheelchairs, as well as those with mobility aids, rely on a level, consistent surface to move safely and comfortably. Traditional paving methods posed challenges, such as uneven surfaces and water drainage issues, which could compromise both safety and accessibility.

To address these challenges, Buzon Adjustable Pedestals were selected as the ideal solution for the raised flooring system. The Buzon pedestals allow for precise height adjustments, creating a perfectly level, stable, and elevated surface across the entrance and communal areas.
